DFAST, an automatic annotation tool developed by DDBJ, is widely-used for bacterial genome annotation. The output file is in tsv format and contains all the annotation detail. The attribute locus_tag follows the naming rule of a name plus six-digit number with the interval of ten. This numbering system continues to a plasmid sequence when chromosome and plasmid sequences are stored in a single file. This numbering system, hence, makes distinction of chromosome locus and plasmid locus by locus_tag difficult.
This converter changes the locus_tag numbering system so as to ease distinction amongst different DNA chains. The separation is made by adding 10000 or more to the original loucs_tag numbers.
